SoCon Team Question #4

SoCon Team Question #4

Postby SU DOG » Sun Jul 16, 2017 2:16 pm

This team in question has the following available players for the FRONT FOUR.

1. This 6-1, 240 pound Jr. DE was FIRST TEAM All-SoCon. This tackling machine had 70 tackles including 8 sacks last season. Coming out of high school he was a 247 Sports 3*** rated player who turned down all other offers including one from Georgia Tech. :o
He is a beast who will wreck SoCon havoc this year.

2. Another All-SoCon DE selection, this FBS xfer Soph is 6-3 245. He had 30 tackles last year as a RS Fr. He was rated a 2** out of high school and had FBS offers from Army and Boston College.

3. A 5th year Sr. who was granted a NCAA waiver to play another season. This 6-2, 250 pound DE has shown signs of brilliance from his Fr. year. His only problem has been staying healthy. If he can be injury free this year then "watch out". Coming out of high school as an All-Stater, he kept his commitment even after being later offered by larger schools such as Mississippi Southern.

4. This big 6-3 295 pound Sr. interior lineman has been a 3 year starter, who had 40 tackles last year. He was a two time All-Stater in Tennessee in his high school days. With his size and experience, he should be a key "stopper" in the middle of the D-line this season.

5. Another "Whopper Stopper" is this big former SEC player who transferred in. This 6-2 303 pound Sr. is a former 3*** who should eat up some SoCon running backs this year.

6. Another big one is this Jr. DL who stands 6-3 and weighs 312. He had 24 tackles and had 6.5 TFL last year. Out of high school he had FBS offers (Cincinnati), and figures to be an impact player this season.

7. A 6-5, 275 pound RS Soph, this lineman appeared in 8 games last year. He was a FIRST TEAM All-State player in high school who was a finalist for Mr. Football in his state as well as the Lineman of The Year Award, At this size he has great length of reach, and should be a valuable asset this season.

8. This 6-4, 277 pound RS Fr. has yet to play, but don't count him out. He was outstanding at a large suburban high school, and his coach called him a very talented and overlooked lineman who developed late. He thinks that our mystery team got a steal in landing this one. He wasn't totally overlooked, however, as he earned a 247Sports 2** rating.

Sure there are other candidates for the DL on this team. These are just some bios of possibly the leading ones. IMO, this team has the D-Line to be one of the best in the SoCon this season.

An offer from Mississippi Southern, huh!
In an imperfect world, absolute truth is divisive. There's no unity in truth. Decide then whether truth before unity or unity before truth?
