Pick the over/under on total points scored? This is not in place of 68’s pick’em poll. Note, this doesn’t require you to pick against your team.

My pick: 72 points.

We will face a much better VMI team than we have seen. They've had their what the heck moments, but if you are looking for the hapless Keydets Team we've seen in the past - NOPE not now. Their QB Reece Undinski, 6-4, 224, has thrown 252 passes this season for 13 TDs and ZERO interceptions. He leads the nation with that total. Their go-to guy is big WR Jacob Herres 6-4, 211, who leads the SoCon in receptions. Against The Citadel, Herres had 8 catches for 172 yards and 2 TDs.

Their attack is also kinda balanced(hear that cujo?), as they feature RB Alex Ramsey who is second in the SoCon with 107.8 yds/game. They are #1 in the SoCon in 3rd down conversions while we are dead last. On defense, they are getting better, and have 5 of the top 20 pass defenders in the SoCon - more than any other team. BTW, we have no player listed in that category.

NO, NO, NO, I'm not saying they will or should beat us. I could list several other SoCon stats where we are ahead of them. What I am saying is that if we are sloppy, they actually could win because they are NOT what we are used to seeing from VMI. They are far better.

Our defense is rock solid though. I don't look for them to score more than 50 or so against us.

Cujo, I never thought of it as my poll. I just noticed the usual people who do it hadn't and so I put it up. I miss the days when Butkuss would do it (how's he doing?). Also, while I'm at it, I never said you couldn't pick against your team. I (jokingly) have said it should be a disqualifier to pick against SU if you were a fan. Somehow, at least one person got the idea that I was setting the rules. All I ever did was participate and a couple times post it to keep the tradition alive.

72 points. SU 48 - VMI 24. I haven't lost faith or hope yet. We have a habit of dropping a game we should win when on a roll but also have a habit of bouncing back from tough losses to win. I'm hoping this happens today.
