Some UTC Info

The Mocs have scored as many as 20 points only once this year, and that was against VMI, a 63-7 win.
Against The Citadel Saturday, however, UTC played what they called their best game of the year in a 20-14 loss. The Mocs ended the game much like we did at WCU with a 1st down at the Citadel 11 yard line, better than a minute to go, but couldn't get it in.
Their RB Darrell Bridges had 149 yards Saturday - by far his best game of the year. Their other stud RB, and a favorite receiver, Richarde Bagley was out with an injury, but may be available for our game.
We need to watch out for their Fr. return man, Brandon Dodwell. Usually Baxley handles that chore, but probably not anymore. Dodwell had 3 KO returns for an average of 43.3 yards/return, and one punt run back for 37 yds. :o
Their young Fr. QB had several passes where he looked really good, but then threw 3 interceptions. We for sure need to rattle him and not let him feel comfortable in the pocket. Do this and limit Bridges and we should win.

Defensively this team has me very concerned. They are experienced and talented, and have improved since getting some injured players back. They now have their All-American LB, Dale Warren back from suspension also. Speaking of LBs, they also feature one that is 6-8, 245 lbs. #88 Joshua Phillips
Their DBs were not impressive last week, but 2 of them were out and are supposed to be back Saturday. They are Sr. Trevor Wright and Arizona State xfer Kareem Orr. Orr was a Fr. All-American at AZ State and Wright is an All-SoCon player.

The weather forecast does not look good. Right now it calls for some rain and high winds.
