Whooooa Nellie! He was a Georgia Native and grew near the Georgia/Alabama line! The ultimate sportscaster. Rest in peace Keith Max Jackson.

His heyday being my formative years; he will always be, to me, the voice of college football. I found him to also be very forthcoming, open and humble. When asked during an interview if he had any shortcomings, he stated that one of his biggest was the close friendship that he'd developed with Coach Bryant. He openly admitted it had colored his commentary.
Sorry Fowler and Herbstreit, there'll only be one Keith Jackson.

Can you say the phrase “The Granddaddy of them all” in your head and not hear it in Keith Jackson’s voice and Keith Jackson’s enunciation? Try it.
In an imperfect world, absolute truth is divisive. There's no unity in truth. Decide then whether truth before unity or unity before truth?

Just surfed info and didn't realize that Keith Jackson wasn't the only famous broadcaster to graduate from Wash. St. He followed Edward R. Murrow.
