Allow me to offer https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/with-six-redshirt-players-villanova-basketball-is-more-plus-one-than-one-and-done/2017/12/19/6c1e7cdc-df76-11e7-89e8-edec16379010_story.html?utm_term=.a906916d83f1 as evidence to the contrary- maybe not wholesale, but it is a tool in the toolbox. Plus not that I think coaches should hold players hostage, but players are less likely to cut and run at the first little sign of adversity if they have to burn an actual year of playing time transferring because they already used their RS year as freshmen

I thought you were talking about recruiting kids to RS them as freshman. I only think one of Villanova's RS was what I would consider a legitimate RS freshman. The rest were sitting out transfer year, season ending injuries or academically ineligible during their RS year.

We did offer this guy today. Could bring much needed athleticism to the team.

Apparently he was injured for most or all of his season as a HS senior. His highlights are fun though. Unfortunately, I can't tell whether he can play or not from those (or the others I've seen), and I have no clue whether he's got the characteristics that could make this a great fit for him. Hope he does because he could be entertaining.

He can explode to the basket and presumably hit the boards, but can he shoot and defend? His shot looks nice, but 80% of the video was a dunkfest.

Count me as intrigued, but only if he can be a lockdown defender against bigger wings/skilled fours. Highlight video is pretty useless, there are probably a dozen guys already on campus that can do everything in that video that play SU football.

I also asked what has SP done to show that he’s not a fit for Samford. No one even acknowledged any of the things I talked about. You only spoke of me saying we shouldn’t be negative.

You asked for facts about what Scott Padgett has done to show he’s not a good fit for Samford? Is the plural of exodus exoduses or exodi?
In an imperfect world, absolute truth is divisive. There's no unity in truth. Decide then whether truth before unity or unity before truth?
