Some info on GCU that I find interesting:

Grand Canyon was founded as a Southern Baptist school, but today says it is interdenominational. It does, however, proclaim itself as a faith based institution that centers on Jesus Christ.

In 2008, GCU had less than 1,000 students. Today it has 19,500 living on campus, plus thousands more online.

The move to D1 came just last August, and they are in the WAC conference. They are 16-2 at home this year.

Given our lack of success, from what I can tell from afar, I think the athletic folks do a good job of trying to cater to students, but it's an uphill battle to continue to find creative ways to entice students to show up and watch the turd of a product we continually roll out. From a marketing standpoint, our hands are tied until the on the court product improves.

Yes, but they have just this year applied for a change in that status.
