Samford 6 Bama 0

Samford 6 Bama 0

A 2 hit night for Samford pitching that completely shut down the Tide offense. Also, really impressive performance in the field for the Dogs, as they had NO errors and made some very nice plays. Mammoth home run for Brooks Carlson high off the scoreboard just below the clock. The National Team Of The Week just got another W to add to the string.

I believe that is 20 scoreless innings in a row now.

Six runs in the last 63 innings!!! :o That is less than one run per 10 innings. When have we ever had pitching like this?
Word of caution: Baseball is a peculiar game, with a short distance from penthouse to outhouse. I do think, however, that this is now a solid team.

How many runs is that per 9 innings, SU Dog?

Seriously, that is amazing. Eli Gold and his sidekick did nothing but lavish Samford with praise in their post game wrap up. It may have been the Crimson Tide network, but it sounded like a Samford love fest. The Alabama coach was not sparing with his praise for Samford or his disappointment with his team's play/effort.

Frankly, I'm stunned by how well Samford is is playing. I just wish SU03 had shown some confidence in these guys like SU Dog did.

Must be easy to not go on the record with an opinion but only criticize those that do, lol. This very well may be the best run I've seen a Samford team go on. Loving it!!! Huge series this weekend, chance to really distance ourselves from the rest of the league!!!

It isn't as easy as it looks. In my opinion, my posting is the most difficult posting of all (trying to make your posts and those of SU Dog interesting).

Maybe 03 knew what he was talking about. Is that 6 or 7 straight losses?
