I hope you are right 03, but I have concerns. First we have an opponent coached by a jerk that makes JSU's Jack Crowe look like an absolute saint, and a President in Jim Tressel who, IMO, isn't much better. Will the current player who is a convicted rapist, still be playing? There have been demonstrations and much clamor on campus about this issue, but as far as I know, he is still on the team.

I just wish we were playing a different opponent.

Is there no pleasing you, SUD? You wanted this game, you get it, then you complain about who we are playing!

YES, I am. There is a chance, however, that Bo Pelini will be run off before that game. I have heard that lots of the Penguins' money supporters are very tired of him. As for the present setup, however, my feelings won't change. The game - YES, but the opponent - YUK.

If we start scheduling games with head coaches who aren't jerks we will be playing Shorter 8 times a year. The Richmond situation was obviously not handled well, but it got far enough down the road that Richmond filed suit against the University when they tried to remove him from the team, and his inclusion on the team is a condition of the settlement of that lawsuit. Not much they can do from that point. Guess you could ding them for playing the kid some, but once the agreement was made to settle his suit it pretty much tied their hands.

Congratulations on the Montgomery game. A couple of points to think about: this game may mess up the bye week situation for you. Jax State is playing 9 games in a row, without a bye, same as last year. If this will be your only year in the game, relax and enjoy it. The first year we had seats in the visiting stands, but this year upgraded to the ESPN zone tickets ($100) and that AirConditioning is NICE, plus you get a Food and Beverages (Adult) and a spot in the priority parking area. There is also an end zone tent option ($70), basically the same as the ESPN ticket, but at field level and limited A/C. Those premium tickets can be purchased from the Crampton Bowl only.

As for YSU, yeah, what can you say? They have really dropped off a cliff to start the year. And Bo gonna be Bo.

One other thing I might recommend, the FREE shuttle bus that runs all around downtown goes right to the stadium, and then, after the game, returns to the downtown area. We stayed downtown at the Hampton Inn (next to the Hank Williams Museum) and only a block to the river. Not a bad hang out spot. Might want to make reservations in the Spring, don't wait until a month before the game.

I'll be watching on ESPN.

Those are good points 03, and I may change my feelings after all(especially if Bo leaves). I will point out, however, that we quit playing JSU primarily because of Crowe and associated incidents.
I plan to attend the game and desperately hope we have a good showing both on the field and in the stands. I have also wanted to get YSU since 1991(for those who are old enough to remember)
