Almost in control of our destiny.

Almost in control of our destiny.

I think if Chatty loses one more conference game, we will be in control of our own destiny by winning out.

FUBeAR thinks that’s not the case...

1) Samford wins out = 6-2
2) Mercer wins out = 6-2
3) Wofford also loses to WCU =5-3
Mercer wins Autobid

OR

1 & 2 same as above
3) Wofford beats WCU = 6-2 & 3-way tie w/round-robin wins...so
4) ETSU AND Chatt OR Furman could also all be 5-3 (assuming FU over VMI)
5) ETSU has wins over FU AND Chatt, so 1st ‘test’ tiebreak - all 3 have wins, so go to next place
6a) If FU, Woffy falls out & Mercer gets Autobid due to win over Samford
6b) If Chatt, Samford falls out & Woffy gets Autobid due to win over Mercer

So, Samford needs to win out AND Chatt AND Mercer need to lose 1+ SoCon games.

Maybe you assumed that Mercer would lose 1 or more of their final 3 and with the way the D is playing, the backup QB, essentially, playing on 1 leg, and the #1 RB in a sling, FUBeAR wouldn’t doubt you are likely correct, but FUBeAR is a stickler for accuracy...

...except when he’s wrong & he is a Bear of little brain...so the conjecture above could be completely wrong. Is it?

Loved your counterpoint on AGS re UTC being 2 scores from undefeated. Debate has a way of bringing clarity. Very few people have the ability to grasp the whole picture. Most of us are blinded by perspective, bias, prejudice or lack of mental ability. I often wondered why we share our thoughts with one another. Two questions: Not only why do I care to tell others what I think, but why do I care what others think? I settled on predictability. If we know how the other thinks, we can interact with some degree of confidence/predictability. That brings order to society. It knits together the fabric of society, so to speak. But I’m thinking now it also brings accuracy to the picture, i.e. it helps with the search for the truth (and may provide some check on delusional thought/behaviour).
In an imperfect world, absolute truth is divisive. There's no unity in truth. Decide then whether truth before unity or unity before truth?

Oh, by the way, I think Mercer sucks.

Correct, left Mercer out. They need to lose another game, which I believe they will.
