And MANY of our teams do this type of wonderful thing. While we are admittedly still sick because of Saturday, we can be glad that Samford is unique in such a positive way.

Agreed. Case in point, WBB and Baseball's trips to the Dominican.

Michael O'Neal former kicker at Samford, Mountain Brook native founded Reel Life Adventures back in 2009. When you go to Reel Life's web page and click on the link About Us if you'll notice on the top picture it's Hunter Carroll center for Samford Football 1990 - 1992.

Reel Life International seems to be a very good Christian Ministry. If I may digress a moment: When I think of Hunter Carroll, I remember one Samford football record, or distinction, that he holds, and it may never be seen again. He was the LAST 2-way player that Samford fielded.

I think of “the snap” that led to “the throw” that led to “the catch” that led to “the stretch” that scored “the touchdown” that completed “the greatest comeback” in Samford history. Homecoming win over Troy by a team that knew how to win and refused to lose.

Oh My Gosh cujo, what a memory that is. My wife and I were entertaining friends who were Troy Alums. After that play I left all of them and stormed the field. Needless to say, my wife was NOT amused, and I suffered consequences - but who cared? LOL!

That was the game that Larry "Keep it Down Home Cuz" Blakeney about had an aneurysm on the final play. He probably had a legitimate gripe, but since it is Troy, it is probably fair that we won and they lost.

It was also the game I became so frustrated, I grabbed the wife, told her I could not stomach losing to Troy at home like this, and left early in the fourth quarter.

Wasn't Bryan Fisher the recipient of that Ben Wiggins throw?

Nope, there were 17 seconds left in that game when Ben Wiggins, the most underrated QB in Samford Football history, threw that pass to WR Brian James.

David Primus intercepted Troy's last ditch pass to end any threat of a Troy miracle.

One of the greatest games I've ever witnessed in person.
