Furman enters the poll at #25. I never thought I would see the day when this would happen.

Better savor it now because they will not be there for long. Granted, they have a couple of extraordinary wins, but they also have some questionable W's on that 8-0 start. Two of those 8 are not D-1 wins. Of the other 6, one was a HOME OT win(88-86) over 4-5 Gardner Webb. Another HOME win was in 2 OTs against lowly ranked Western Carolina(who lost to JSU 53-84)).

I'm NOT buying the Furman ranking. Still it is good to see for the conference. I think FU is a good team, but not any better than 3-4 other SoCon teams.
This is going to be a very interesting season.

Related: Saturday Night at Wofford, Steve Forbes, the ETSU HC went beserk and was ejected from the premises. He actually bumped an official near the end of the game, a 79-62 Terrier win. He faces a suspension and possible fine.

So far they are the SoCon basketball version of ETSU football.

They've beaten two final four teams on the road right? I coached Mounce's brother when I was at Tusculum. Great family. Good players.
Go Bulldogs!!!
