Samford doesn't divulge much info about the "other signees" that are not publicized on NSD. Some of these others, however, do hold their signing day ceremony at their school. One such players that is coming to Samford is WR Parker Kahlert of Woodward Academy, College Park GA. Partial or walk-on, I don't know, but sometimes these kids do wind up contributing. Parker chose Samford over some other apparent free rides. For example, Presbyterian offered him. Kahlert made 2nd team All-Region 4AAAA in Georgia, and that ain't shabby. Besides, Woodward Academy is a football powerhouse, with many FBS signings. From what I read on his Twitter account also, he only played about half the season before breaking his collarbone. His 7.08 time in the 60 is pretty impressive also. Here's wishing him, and all these type well

He may be the next great Samford WR...but a couple of comments...

1) Most schools report signees that are getting any athletic scholarship money as “Signees.”
2) Presbyterian is moving to the PFL, thus, ceased offering Athletic Scholarships for Football after their 2017 RecruitIng class

I am well aware of Presby's situation, but they still recruit, they still offer(in the form of various grants), and they still proudly announce their "signees" on NSD,

You've got to check this one out. He is Kristopher Bowman a 6-4, 205 player from McCallie School in Chattanooga. He is listed as a LB, but he is very versatile. Kid has good speed, great size with a frame that has the possibility of putting on much more muscle weight. Watching this video sure surprised me. He plays QB, LB, and WR in this highlight clip. He looks the part of a player who will get the full ride in the future. See if you don't agree that he is rather impressive.
