Were going have to go with the ETSU method if we wanna win. Can’t succeed with the way we are running things now

I think what Forbes is doing at ETSU is a good fit for that university. But, the two teams tonight, who also finished 1-2 in the league standings, had zero transfers/JUCO's in the two starting lineups. The 10 starters averaged almost 70 career starts each at the end of tonight's play.

Look at the bright side. Thanks to all the transfers, we always have an extra scholarship it two or three to give it.

Seriously though, what's the over/under on transfers this year? One so far. How many more.

That hasn't worked so well for us. Our coaching MO is to recruit good players and then lose 80% by their 3d year. So, if you want to model after Furman or Wofford, you are advocating a coaching change. If you want deal with reality, I think 14 has nailed it.
In an imperfect world, absolute truth is divisive. There's no unity in truth. Decide then whether truth before unity or unity before truth?

I'm advocating that the way to win at Samford is the model of recruiting/developing HS kids and having them be multi year starters. I think if you look at the 2 years of real success this program has enjoyed in it's entire history, plus what the most successful programs are doing right now, that's the model. I hope those currently involved can find a way to accomplish this. We were fairly close to having this happen about 18 months ago. Time will tell.

Former HCJT basically said the same thing in his retirement interview article in another thread. I thought he was getting in his last dig to the guy that fired him.

Thanks. I hope he's only, as opposed to the first to leave.
