Sweeping UNCG. Simply amazing. They won a close one in extra innings in game one. They are beating G like a drum in game two.

IF we can get a couple of things worked out, this could be a memorable year. At this point of 40 games played we are 29-11. Last year at this time we were 24-16. I think the competition was very comparable, but that could be debated. Last year, however, Sam Strickland was almost unhittable, and he has been good this year, but not up to last year's performances as of now. If he returns to form, McCord keeps getting better, and Hester continues, expect big things. Steven Jones is a very good closer, but there is no Wyatt Burns in our Bullpen. There is good quality depth there, however, and plenty of arms to compete.

On the positive side, I think we are probably a bit more dangerous at the plate. This lineup has capable power from 1-9, and can ride one out of the park at any position. The bottom half of the order has started to see the ball better, and results are encouraging. Defensively, we seem to be rock-solid. IMO, there isn't a SoCon team that should beat us out. Fun team to watch.

Yeah, Brooks Carlson is over .400 for the season. Guy can rake.
