This looked like a classic ndsu drive. Pound, pound, and pound some more. All the time chewing the clock.

This guy should be the starter. End of story.

To paraphrase FUBeAR (who is sitting right next to me), how do you get through an entire fall practice and not figure out this guy should be your starter at QB. It took about 3 plays to see it out in game.

I think Hatcher had a seizure or something. Down 17, we go for two. After two YSU penalties to take it to the one, we kick it. Thankfully YSU gave Hatcher some time to snap out of it with those two penalties. Going for two there makes no sense.

And apparently it wasn't even close.

Well, I know who I would start next week, but Welch is I am sure a bit of a sentimental favorite as the guy who patiently waited his turn. For this reason, Hatcher may give Welch a lot of leeway.

Mop up tds against 3 string defense. Offense wasn’t ready from the start. Poor calls, poor routes against a damn good defense.

He got the start because he played him, apparently by a lot. What was he supposed to do, ignore the in the field play? Next game will be interesting to see what happens and if it is like today, one for (intended at least) to go all the way or if he lets them both play.
