Tough to win on the road I know, but the last time(2014) we played down there we did win. Twenty-one turnovers and poor foul shooting helped doom us. These are 2 things that being on the road, however, should not be that big of a factor. I'm sure that no Deandre Thomas hurt also. Scoring only 57 points I would consider a big reason for concern. When Austin is 2-11 we are gonna be in trouble for sure.
Hope the Troy game wasn't misleading. They have yet to win a D-1 game, and their last such opponent was Alabama A&M that beat the Trojans 80-66.
In looking at this conference, I don't see many wins for us. Hope I am wrong, and I hate to be a "Debbie Downer" for the Samford outlook in basketball and football. Maybe football signing day and future MBB games will bring more optimism. I really hope so.
